Medicare Savings Programs (MSP)

Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs are the same things. Medicare Savings Programs are State Medicaid programs that help consumers save money on Medicare premiums, deductibles, copayments and coinsurance. These programs help with Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B costs, not Medicare Part D costs. If you qualify for Medicaid then you automatically qualify for Extra Help. The 7 levels that someone can qualify for are based on income and resources. If you have Medicaid and Medicare then might want to know which premiums are paid for by your State.
